Each year, an independent jury of experts from the fields of architecture, preservation, and community development select a distinguished group of projects that demonstrate outstanding achievement in the field of historic preservation and heritage conservation.

Harbor House preserves the spirit of the YMCA, a once-thriving gathering place for sailors and the San Pedro community, now revived for new generations.

Along with Harbor House, Omgivning's managing director, Joel Chappo, AIA also consulted on the restoration of another winner, Gramercy Place Temple, a 1930s Art Deco synagogue.
